Christmas the Sequel

Merry Christmas everyone!
Okay, I’m a day late, but who says Christmas has to be just one day, right? Chances are there are lots of leftovers still in the fridge, tons of wrapping paper still littering the living room, and at least half the toys still unbroken. Let’s just pretend today is Christmas the sequel! Which is exactly what I intend to do, spending the day playing guitar hero (my awesome gift!), drinking the last of the egg nog, and doing absolutely nothing. Because, after the whirlwind the last week has been, I’m pretty sure I deserve it. Shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, my hands cramping from writing a bazillion Christmas cards. (Okay, I gave up halfway through and did e-cards to most of my friends. But, I ask you, what says the holidays better than a cute little Hoops and Yoyo rendition of ‘Jingle Bells’?) And then Christmas Eve at Mr. Big’s (where I met his family for the first time. Lovely people! Will fill you in on all the details next week. After I come down from the candy cane high.), then Christmas day Mr. Big spent here where he got to meet all my family - Mom, the boy, my sister, her husband, their adorable little 1 year old girl, and both my brothers. To say we had a full house is like saying Mrs. Claus is a little on the “curvy” side. Understatement alert. Oh, and in the midst of all that fabulous fun… copies of my new book arrived!! Mayhem in High Heels, the last book in the High Heels series, doesn’t officially release until Tuesday, but I got my big box of author copies right before Christmas. Best. Present. Ever.

So, while I lounge on the sofa trying to achieve the status of video game rock star, I’ll leave you with the video book trailer for Mayhem in High Heels. Hope you enjoy!

We have to wait a week to hear about your visit with Mr. Big's family??? That's just cruel and unusual punishment. I think you should tell us now! :)

But is sounds like it went well - which is a good thing. :)

I LOVE Guitar Hero - and Rock Band! Have them both! In fact, I'm having a Rock Band party tomorrow night. Who says games are for kids? :)

Love the video! Now, I'm wondering about those 5 suspects - and the secret lovers.....hmmmmmm, guess that was the point, right? LOL

I've been waiting to hear about your evenings with his family. A whole week? Give us a teaser.

I'm glad things worked out on both sides of the family meet.

I love the video and can't wait to read this book.

Ahh . . . you're so good at keeping us in suspense. Can't wait for next week to hear all about the visit with Mr. Big's family. So looking forward to MAYHAM IN HIGH HEELS.
And I got (ahem), I mean, MY KIDS got Guitar Hero - Aerosmith for Christmas too. We all love it but my daughter really rocks. We let her play first so she can unlock all the cool songs for us. She got Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock for her birthday last year and proceeded to beat the game in 3 days.

Congrats on the big gift. Making us wait really is not very Chrismassy of you.

Santa brought me a cold for Christmas. Wasn't that nice of him? I never left my house or saw another soul yesterday. But, my kiddo called from her dad's to say she got a Wii so once she gets back next week, I'll be trying my luck at bowling and tennis and whatever else is on that thing. LOL!

Merry Christmas Weekend!

Gemma,

I love the video. Can't wait to get it.

And I agree with everyone, you're keeping us in suspense. But hey, isn't that what a good writer does?

I'm glad you are having a great day.

Love the video!

But I suspect none of us want to wait to here about the big family meet!

Oh Terrio, I hope you feel better soon! I had that nasty cold all week and inadvertently gave it Mom for Christmas. :(

Okay, a teaser of my evening with Big’s family:
They were all so incredibly sweet! And, yes, they were in jeans. Lol! I was the most dressed gal there, though Big was his fabulously dressed self so at least we matched. The very cool silver necklace I got for an amazing deal ($3!! I love the 25% off 75% off the coupon rate of 50%!) broke in half in the middle of dinner. Lol! But, I guess I couldn’t have had a totally error free night. His sister is an amazing cook, his Mom made the absolute best dessert I’ve ever tasted in my life (chocolate mouse and ice cream cake with a toasted almond crust. Sooooooo good!), and his brother-in-law was really fun to chat with. Three very exuberant dogs, but I popped an allergy pill beforehand and survived the night with only minor wheezing. ;) Oh, and the gifts from Big and family? Three words: Dolce, Coach, Chanel. Best
Christmas ever.

Sounds like you had a great Christmas with the family and Mr Big. I also spent time with my family and I have a one year old great niece and they are so cute at that age. She is into everything right now and starting to climb.
