It’s here. The day Shut Up and Kiss Me is officially released. You can bet I’m biting my nails, hoping my baby looks pretty sitting on the bookstore shelves and praying that tons of readers will be leaving the store with my book snug in their purchase bags. Then I hope when they get home, they look around at the different chores they need to do—you know, like vacuuming, dusting, and scrubbing toilets, and I hope they say, “Oh, what the hell!” and they pull my book out of that bag, curl up on the sofa, or in the bed, and let me take them away on a romantic adventure that promises to make them care, laugh, and sigh.
And because today is release day, I’ll be holding contest every week at Killer Fiction for the next month. Today’s contest is simple. Just tell me where you buy your books and one lucky person will receive a $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com. See, that’s simple, right? I’m also hosting a contest on my website. Check it out below:

May 25th - Tracy Madison's Blog - Fate and Destiny…Do you believe? One commenter will win a $10 gift card to B&N

Congratulations on your release day! I buy my books at Barnes and Nobles and Books a Million. And walmart. And the grocery store. Anywhere I can get my hands on them...;)
Hi Gillian!!
You sound like me. When I see a book on a shelve, I'm pulled to them I don't care where I am.
CC
Congratulations on your release! I will be stopping in at my local Chapters after work to by your book. Incidentally, Chapters is where I buy most of my books. It's a big chain, but they have the best selection and they offer a club discount. Our local independent stores rarely carry popular fiction. They specialize in local writers, which is great. And they will special order in anything I ask for, but then I have to wait. So I mostly go to the chain store. Because honestly, I usually can't wait =).
Hi Zita,
Hmm, I guess Chapters are local to Canada. I've never heard of them here.
I hope you enjoy Shut Up and thanks so much for stopping in.
CC
P.S. Zita,
Is that really you in the underwater photo? That's so cool.
CC
Congratulations on your newest release! I'll be at the store today and will look for it.
Ahh, Edie,
Thanks a mil!!
I hope it gives you a couple of hours of joy.
CC
Congratulations, Christie. I hope your readers, too, buy it, go home and curl up to read it in one sitting.
Congrats on this book release day!
I buy my books on Amazon and in any bookstore I happen to be near. I'm not kidding. I live next to a Borders and I buy a lot of books there. If I happen to be in town and walking past the Boulder Bookstore I buy books there and if I'm in Denver, I almost always have to hit up the Tattered Cover. I buy a lot of books.
Hi Keena,
Thanks so much. Good luck on your releases, too.
CC
Hi Becky!!!
I'm like that, too. I buy where there are books. Thanks so much for visiting and mega thanks for the review at Book Bitch, isn't that the name?
CC
Hi Christie,
Yes, that's me! i went on a Caribbean cruise in February and tried snuba for the first time. It was amazing and fun and very cool. This was taken in the waters off Isla Roatan in the Honduras.
Zita,
That is so cool. So is it something you'd like to do again?
CC
Happy Release Day Christie! I buy my books at Walmart and Books A Million and online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, My Bookstore and More and Fictionwise.
Happy release day and what a beautiful baby! That's bound to turn heads in bookstores everywhere.
For years I only bought books at Walmart of the UBS. For some reason I've moved to buying them from B&N. Which is odd, because I usually prefer the cheapest way possible. LOL! Guess I got tired of waiting until Wally World felt like putting out the books I wanted.
Making a special trip to the mall tonight and I do believe we'll need to enter throught the B&N. ;)
Crystal,
Thanks. Release days are sort of like finding yourself standing naked in front of a new boyfriend for the first time. You wanted to get to that place, but you're still feeling vulnerable.
Thanks for stopping by.
CC
Terri,
Thanks girl! I dropped off my B&N store last night and actually saw my baby in an end cap. I almost screamed.
I'll see you soon at romancewritersrevenge. Looking forward to it.
CC
Congrats on your new release! We don't have a good book store in my area so I have to get mine in Walmart, Kroger, or order for Amazon! Same with my sister which she ordered you new book from Amazon and is already reading it!
Virginia,
I'm tickled your sister got my book. I hope you enjoys and forgets about stuff like chores!
Have a great day. Thanks so much for stopping by.
CC
Congratulations, Christie. I'm definitely getting this book. You know I love your stories.
I buy my books at B&N, Borders, grocery stores, Walmart, Books a Million. In other words--everywhere. lol I finally bought my first book on Amazon even. Grin.
Yippie, a new book by you!! I had it on pre-order from Amazon and it popped into my Kindle this morning. I will be reading it tonight. Enjoy your realease day.
Hi Sandy,
Thanks so much.
As you know these release days are exciting.
CC
Hi Mo!
Great!
I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping in.

I am totally addicted to buying and reading books, so I pick them up wherever I see them. I buy books most often at Barnes and Noble, amazon.com, the grocery store, and our library's used book sales.
Oh, absolutely I would do this again. In fact, I'm seriously considering taking scuba lessons because of this experience. It was a great way to learn whether I would like scuba or not. And much cheaper! Scuba lessons are very expensive, you know? But the 4 hour snuba experience only cost $70 and I got some excellent pictures. I even saw a barracuda!
Cheryl,
Do they have AA meetings for bood addicts? If so, I need to join. I picked up Tracy Madison's book, A Breath of Magic last night. I have tons of books I need to order from Amazon.
Thanks for stopping by.

Congratulations on the new release! I wish you lots and lots of sales!
As for where I buy my books...well for print...I get them from Chapters (the Canadian B&N) and ebooks I get all over the place...Fictionwise, Ellora's Cave, ARe, Liquid Silver, Loose-Id, Amber Quill, Samhain/MBaM and a slew of other e-publishers.
*hugs*

I have to run out tonight and buy it now.
I usually buy books at Barnes & Noble or Amazon. Once in a while at Borders.
Christie, I need to go to a AA meeting for book addicts if they have one! I have started hiding my new purchases from my husband! :-)
Of course, I could have WORSE addictions, couldn't I! ;-)
Yay! Happy Release Day! I have Shut Up and Kiss Me on my nightstand. *G* I buy my books from BAM, but lately have also added B&N back into my purchasing locations. Between the two stores I can usually find what I'm looking for.
Happy RELEASE Day!! May your baby look pretty and shiny and lure thousands of people to buy her right away!
I buy my books at a local bookstore called Village Books. It's a new and used bookstore. They're wonderful.
I am also a hardcore Amazon.com fan. I have to put limits on myself or all my spare change would go there.
Zita,
I would love to be able to take pictures underwater.
I hope you get to go again soon.
CC
s7anna,
Thanks, I'm hoping the book jumps off the shelves.
Thanks so much for stopping in.
CC
Kristi,
Thanks. I hope you enjoy it. And thanks so much for stopping in.
CC
Cheryl,
Yup, you need an AA meeting when you start hiding things. Candy bar under the bed, scotch under the sink. LOL.
Ahh, but there are so many worse things than reading.
CC
Brandy,
Thanks girl. I hope you enjoy the read.
Have a good day.
CC
MsHellion,
Thank you. I hope Shut Up makes spending that spare change worth it! I know what you mean about spending too much on books. My hubby says he's just thankful I can deduct them on my taxes. LOL.
CC
Happy Release Day!!! :)
I buy most of my books through Amazon.
Congrats! I'll be getting my copy tomorrow after work.
As for where I buy my books, I get the bulk of them at garage sales, Salvation Army, and Goodwill. (Budget plan for me and it helps out others at those places.)
I also purchase books at Meijers, Walmart, Target, and Barnes and Noble.
Hi Tori,
Thanks so much for stopping by.
CC
Rfhater,
Howdy. Thanks so much. I hope you enjoy the read. And keep buying those books. I had a reader email me once and tell me she saw one of my books at Goodwill. I thought it was cool.
CC
Congratulations!
I've bought books in a lot of places. Most recently I've bought books online at borders & fictionwise, at yard sales and Safeway.
Hi Chey!
Thanks for stopping by. I must admit, I've bought my share of books at yard sales, too. I have found some great titles there.
CC
Happy Release Day, Christie. I buy most of my books online at Amazon and BN. I usually wait until my order is over $25 so that I qualify for the free shipping.
Hi Jane,
Thanks for stopping by. It's beginning to feel like a party.
CC
Hi Christie! Congrats on your release!
I download the majority of my books to Kindle. (Yours already lit up my my Kindle at midnight.) Once in a while, I'll toss a couple in my Walmart buggy.
I usually buy mine at Borders if I don't order online from Amazon! tWarner419@aol.com
Hi Phyllis,
Thank you so much!! It's been a great release day.
CC
Tetewa,
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a great day.
CC
Woohoo, Happy Release Day, Christie!! I just can't wait to read this book!! :-)
I buy most of my books through Amazon.
Hi Donna,
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I love you books, too!
CC
Congratulations on your latest release Christie! I buy my books everywhere, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, grocery store, garage sales...I'm easy;) I'm going to have to break down and buy a Kindle, I have no shelf space left in my house!
L.
Hi Loretta,
Thanks so much for dropping by.
Hope to see you soon at the chapter meeting.
CC
I buy my books at Katy Budget Books in Katy, TX. And what I've learned from Romance Novels is that real men scratch indiscriminately, fart often usually blame any unseemly odors on the dog and and say "Do what?" alot when you need help with household chores. Nothing like romance heroes who are there for you, and rub your feet and say "poor baby" when you need to hear it the most. Congratulations on your release I know it'll be another huge success! Ane
Congrats! I buy my books at Joseph Beth and Amazon.com.
