Okay, so a friend sent me this story and although I know it should be taken seriously, I just can't. Just call me callous, but this man's wife apparently came home late and he told her to leave. When she wouldn't, he shot her with a shotgun loaded with toilet paper. I swear. Here's a link to one of the news stories:
Man Shoots Wife With Toilet Paper
Now, I know I was just asking last week what was wrong with a couple of men in my neighborhood, but I'm thinking the men in North Carolina might have me beat with this guy. Any thoughts on this one? Anyone? Anyone? I'm still having trouble figuring out how to make toilet paper bullets.
Saw The Sorcerer's Apprentice this past weekend and really enjoyed it. I really like Nic Cage in those adventure type movies and this one was well-done. Nothing spectacular, but a good plot, solid dialogue and great special effects.
Last weekend, I saw Knight and Day. Now, let me preface this by saying that I really don't like Tom Cruise and think he's a nutbag who doesn't like women, BUT I like Cameron Diaz, so decided to give it a try. This movie far exceeded expectation and I loved it. She is super funny. I liked the whole plot, the witty dialouge, everything. Worth the money to see.
And now, it's off to work. ugh

Interesting segue from toilet paper to Tom Cruise!!! I'm not a fan of Cruise either. Never have been. I was wondering WHY you'd make toilet paper bullets....seems rather pointless.
Is it just me, or is a toilet paper bullet a really big spit ball? I'm not a Cruise fan, either. But, want to see Knight and Day.
kris - I'm assuming he didn't want to kill her but wanted to scare her???? Honestly, I'm outta thoughts on this one, too.
Brandy - that's kind what I was thinking on the spitball angle. Then that got me to wondering if he'd dampened them in toilet water, then if it was clean or dirty. Nevermind. :)
You're the first person I've seen say anything good about Knight and Day. Huh. I thought it looked funny in the commercials, but I never got out to see it.
This TP thing reminds me of that Charmin commercial where the guy yells to his wife that he needs TP and she throws a roll to him. Only the roll is so sharp, it shaves the side of his head.
No idea why, but that cracks me up everytime. LOL!
Terri - I like that commercial too! Don't know why people didn't like Knight and Day. It had laugh out loud moments, and those are usually hard to come by for me.
Has anyone actually explained how he got the toilet paper in the shotgun? And really, wouldn't that kind of be BAD for a gun????
Tori - well, one would think it wouldn't be good for the gun. And I have no idea how he got it in there. It simply boggles the mind.
You guys were supposed to give ME the answers. LOL
