These Boots Are Made for...Bullet Hole

Some time ago, Jana "Deadly" De Leon posted a picture of killer shoes she'd just purchased. Now, I could no more manage to get my 8 and 1/2 wide foot in the to-die-for shoes Jana posted and still be ambulatory than I could pass up free chocolate. Besides, I'm not really a "shoe gal". (Sorry, Gemma.) I'm more of a boot gal. Being a former horse owner who still harbors dreams of owning her own ranch one day, I've always been partial to boots.

All kinds. All colors. All the time.

I have cowboy boots, hiking boots, Wellington boots, short boots, tall boots, suede boots, leather boots.

I love boots!

This past weekend I added another pair to my ever growing collection. I can't wait to wear them!

Okay. Now it's your turn. What's your guilty pleasure? Well, besides books, that is...

Shoes? Antiques? Jackets? Jeans? Hats? Kitchen gadgets? (Ugh.)

I should be good in the boot department for awhile. But I must tell you. I saw this fabulous pair of turquoise Tony Lamas the other day and I swear I can hear them calling my name.

And hey. Christmas is just around the corner!

Books are pretty much it for me. I do love old things, though. But most of the antiques I have are things I inherited from family members. :)

Love those boots, by the way!

I can't afford to buy too much of anything these days, but I am looking for a pair of boots much like the ones you have pictured. I wear tennis shoes every day year round because of knee issues. Heels are out of the question (though I love them so) but flat heeled boots like that with an insert might work.

I want to look like a put-together grown up, which means I need to find a comfortable alternative to the tennis shoes.

Books, definitely. Hmmm, I honestly can't think of anything else.

I must also confess I enjoy shopping for interesting art at antique and thrift shops and at garage sales, Tori. I found a fabulous set of 3 water colors at a thrift shop several years ago. Paid $30 for the set and later found out it was worth a lot more than that.

I bought the water colors just because I really liked them. Who knew?

Strictly a bargain shopper here, Terri. The boots were on sale and I had a coupon for $50 off.

I also have foot and knee issues, but these boots are comfortable enough for me to wear. Not as comfy as my cowboy boots, however. :)

I love Victoria Holt and I have been trying to get all of her books in hard cover, Brandy. Some of them are very hard to find or are too pricey so I always look for her books when I go to shops that sell used books.
