It follows the trend of spooky, bayou mysteries that I've loving writing. This one is a complete stand-alone so no previous reading required to jump right into the story.
I'm hard at work on the next book, and always love some good atmosphere, so yesterday, we went to see THE WOMAN IN BLACK. It was good. Not great. Not bad. Some creepy moments, but the story, as a whole, was undeveloped. It could have been much better with some plot twists. Ah well. I'm beginning to think that if I want a good horror movie, I need to write it myself.

My most recent movies were Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and One for the Money. Both were fantastic. The story sound fantastic, too! Creepy bayou stories are some of my favourites. Not that I'd ever want to go there myself, you understand. 'Gators and snakes and all manner of creepy-crawlies. No thanks! But I like reading about them just fine :-)
Love the cover! My daughter just saw Woman in Black and said the same thing - just okay. The last movie I saw was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - pretty good but I liked the book better. As usual, too much was left out and I really had to think on this one and thought the movie was a bit confusing but worth seeing.

I can't wait to read The Lost Girls Of Johnson's Bayou. I love Bayou stories for some reason, and your first two were great. I am not that into watching scary movies.

Jane - I saw that advertised somewhere. It seems like "okay" is the operative description these days. sigh
Jana, I think people who saw The Thing from the 80s with Kurt Russell would be disappointed with the prequel.

Hi Jana--I read The Secrets of Cypriere Bayou in December so I'm so glad to see another book with a fantastically creepy cover. Looks like more "reading with all the lights on" for me :) Can't wait to read it!

Ah, Kristi. Thanks! It's so nice to know that I'm getting people to crossover. I have read Intrigue for years and love them. It's the perfect short romance/mystery "fix" when you don't have a lot of time. :)
Hi Kairee - there's actually one in between called Bayou Bodyguard. That one is a continuation of Secret.
