Last night was one of those nights where I was desperate to read something, but couldn’t figure out what. I ended up over by the keeper shelf. Still, I don’t know what it was – I couldn’t even settle on a favorite. I did, however, read a lot of absolutely fantastic opening lines.

Lovely post which I enjoyed. Opening lines are always compelling. One of my favorites is: Half an hour before Diana Snyder died, she tidied up her desk in the typists' office of the Cabinet War Rooms. From, Mr.Churchill's Secretary by Susan Elia MacNeal. Opening Lines capture my interests. One that I found captivating was, A typewriter Shattered my destiny. the novel, The Time in Between which I loved. The book listed Bubbles Ablaze sounds interesting.

This is my favorite read and I love the first line. "The body in the road was the absolute cap to the day." Thief of Shadows by Elizabeth Hoyt. Another one I like is "The birds saw the murder." - Ann-Marie MacDonald's The Way the Crow Flies. hmmm they seem to have a theme lol.
