Christmas Party Fun

‘Tis the season for Christmas parties and cheer, and what could be better than a romance reader’s Christmas party with a #1 NYT Bestselling Author as the honored guest? Well, aside from there was also food and wine!

Legacy Books in Plano, TX (close to Dallas) has a romance reader’s book club that meets the first Tuesday of each month. The group is hosted by romance bookseller extraordinaire, Kathy Baker. The group is comprised of readers and writers and we have a fabulous time each month, drinking wine and talking romance.

Last Tuesday was our Christmas party and we had as a special guest none other than one of my favorite authors – Debbie Macomber! Here’s a pic of me and Debbie:

Have I mentioned that I own ALL of Debbie's books? And that I told her that she needs to write some more cowboys? And that's she's super nice and gives wonderful speeches?

It's all true.

Merry Early Christmas to me!

congrats!!! I really like Debbie Macomber. My favorite in that genre though, is Linda Lael Miller whom I got to meet :) I was so excited and it felt like Christmas in April LOL

That is a wonderful thing to do for the romance club and Debbie Macomber is an awesome author for you to nab! What a coo :)

Merry Christmas!

One of the things I really miss about not working now is Christmas party/grazing at the office. :)

I hit three malls and 7 stores this weekend trying to find a dress for my company Christmas party. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I wasn't the planner of the dang thing. I get to do some intros and stuff which means I can't hide. Dang it.

I saw Debbie's books made into movies on the Hallmark channel over the weekend. What a treat! Sounds like a great group and a great way to celebrate the holiday and romance all at the same time.

Tori - Oh, I don't want to hang out with people I WORK with. But this was romance readers. :)

Terri - Oh how I do not miss company Christmas parties complete with high end dresses that you never wear again.

We do departmental parties and since I'm in documentation, it's all a bunch of introvert writers. We got to a late lunch and then go home. :)
