I'm seriously considering a townhome or condo purchase when the kids are out of college and 'settled'. I've been looking on-line in my target communities and they have some really nice listings. And the perk of not having to do my own snow removal or lawn work is vastly appealing.

~KatKathy Bacushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07549844839816876766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4542417548623715196.post-20604914400262981072010-07-01T18:03:30.888-05:002010-07-01T18:03:30.888-05:00Oooh! You take in all the festivities but avoid the unpleasantness of traffic and commute time. And you have additional stress-free family time.

Win-win! And definitely something worth considering.

~KatKathy Bacushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07549844839816876766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4542417548623715196.post-58271169971778882932010-07-01T17:49:51.460-05:002010-07-01T17:49:51.460-05:00Keeping the fingers crossed the waters behave. I have no plans for the holiday weekend, but I bought a condo this week (inspection is in less than an hour!) so I'll be cleaning and hauling most anything not nailed down to the charity store around the corner. :)Terri Osburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17176989488447450585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4542417548623715196.post-9216879346282242652010-07-01T08:24:48.019-05:002010-07-01T08:24:48.019-05:00In Canada, July 1st is July 4th, so I'm off to...In Canada, July 1st is July 4th, so I'm off to my sister's for the big backyard barbecue today and then a stroll down to the harbour (we live in Halifax) for the fireworks. It's a beautiful day and the evening should be fine with clear skies. It's also the 100th Anniversary of Canada's Navy, so the fleet is in the harbour, including a bunch of visiting ships from allied countries. In fact, the USS Wasp is here taking up an inordinate amount of space along the waterfront (man, that ship is huge). I think the fireworks will be spectacular with all those ships in the foreground. Happy holidays!Zitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10934983183390982361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4542417548623715196.post-43972149888295388432010-07-01T06:38:40.337-05:002010-07-01T06:38:40.337-05:00So, I do something I think is strange every 4th of...So, I do something I think is strange every 4th of July. We live in Alexandria, right outside of DC and we spend 2 nights at a hotel in DC to enjoy the festivities. People are usually shocked when they learn we do this! I hate traffic, jams of people on the Metro, and the 2+ hours it would take to drive home. All of the events we attend are only a few blocks from the hotel we stay at and it makes it so much easier and nicer to not have to fight the crowds to get home.krisgils33https://www.blogger.com/profile/06971511383288530885noreply@blogger.com
